A Berks County judge found a man not guilty Friday of conspiring with the mother of his child to use a friend’s name and insurance information during the pregnancy.

Genesis Grayson, 33, address unknown, appeared before Judge Scott D. Keller for a bench trial on charges of conspiracy to use another person’s insurance, conspiracy to commit forgery, conspiracy to commit identity theft, conspiracy to commit theft and receiving stolen property.Authorities said Grayson and Sharena T. Randall took a friend’s health insurance card and used it and her identity when their baby was delivered May 13 at Reading Hospital.The victim testified that the couple did not have insurance, but that she did not know of or grant the two permission for use of her information.The insurance company contacted hospital officials two days after the birth to report the fraud.Police were able to identify Randall and Grayson via surveillance footage and matched Randall’s thumbprint to the print taken when she delivered.Randall,……….. continues on Reading Eagle.
